“We bought the Forge in 2016 and have been blown away by the beauty and tranquility of this unexplored corner of Britain. In summer we paddle in the upper Coquet and BBQ in the garden. In the winter we snowshoe in the Cheviots and stargaze. In the spring and autumn we walk in the empty hills and beaches returning to the Forge for a soak in the bath and to read by the fire; Northumberland, its history and atmosphere never fails to enchant us.”

“We had a great stay – thanks! Beautiful clean house with everything we needed. Enjoyed sitting in the garden with a glass of wine whilst listening to the birds and watching the cows wandering down in the valley. Travelled with daughters and grandchildren – plenty to do nearby to keep little ones entertained. Great trip!”
